What this website is

This website describes the dog training services I offer in the Baltimore, Maryland area and publishes guides about dog behavior. The guides are general information. They are not a substitute for hands-on assessment of your dog, and no article can see what a trainer standing in your living room can see.

Training services

Training services are provided under a separate written agreement made when you book. If anything in that agreement conflicts with these website terms, the training agreement governs the training.

Every dog is an individual. I do not guarantee specific outcomes or timelines, because results depend on the dog, the history, the household, and how consistently the work continues after I leave. What I do commit to is honest assessment and telling you plainly if I am not the right fit.

Enquiries and booking

Calling, emailing, or sending the contact form is an enquiry. It is not a booking, it does not hold a place, and nothing is charged by it. A booking exists once we have spoken about your dog and agreed a program in writing.

The contact form is handled by Netlify Forms, which stores what you submit and notifies me. If you would rather not use a web form, call (443) 429-0445.

Prices published on this site

Prices are published on the program pages rather than held back for a quote. That is deliberate: you should be able to see what the work costs before you speak to anyone, and decide in your own time.

The evaluation is $100, in your home, face to face, with no obligation to go further.
In-home private lessons start at $700.
Kick Start Training starts at $1,600.
Board and train is $3,600 for the two-week on-leash program and $4,800 for the

three-week on-and-off-leash program.

Board and train can also be taken a la carte at $175 per hour of training plus $60 per

day of boarding.

These are the current published prices for the programs as described on their own pages, and each program page states what is included. Prices can change, and the price in force is the one published here at the time you book, or the one quoted to you directly for your dog if a quote has been given. A price shown in a search result, a screenshot, or a cached copy of a page is not a price I am bound by.

Payment and refunds

All services provided are non-refundable. This includes evaluations, training programs, and any sessions remaining in a program you have already started.

The $100 evaluation fee rolls into the overall training fee if you go ahead with training, and there is no obligation to go ahead after an evaluation. If you are not sure a program is right for your dog, the evaluation is the point at which to decide, because that decision is easier to make before payment than after. That is the reason the evaluation exists as a separate, low-cost step rather than a sales call.

Payment plans are available on in-home private lessons and on board and train. Ask about one when you book rather than afterwards, so the schedule can be set up with the program rather than renegotiated part way through it.

Prices quoted are for the program described. Board and train covers the stay, the training, and all equipment. If your dog needs veterinary care during a board and train stay, that cost is yours, and you will be contacted as soon as it is practical to do so.

Safety and veterinary care

Nothing on this site is veterinary advice. Behavior can have medical causes, and pain in particular changes how a dog behaves. If your dog is unwell, injured, or has changed suddenly, speak to your veterinarian. In an emergency, contact your veterinarian or an emergency clinic, not a website.

Aggression carries real risk. Content about aggression is written to help you understand what you are seeing and get proper help, not to encourage handling a dangerous situation alone.

Training outcomes are not guaranteed

No responsible trainer can promise that a dog will never repeat a behavior. What happens depends on the dog, its history, the household, and how consistently the handling continues after training ends. Treat any guarantee of a specific behavioral result with caution, from anyone.

What is promised instead is a straight assessment, including being told plainly when a different approach or a different professional would suit your dog better. Where a behavior may have a medical component, you will be referred to a veterinarian rather than trained through it.

The text, images, and other material on this site belong to DW Dog Training unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to read, share links, and quote briefly with credit. Do not copy substantial content or republish it as your own.

Third-party links and features

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. I do not control them and am not responsible for their content or practices.

The site also embeds two third-party features, a Google map and a Google reviews widget served by Elfsight. Both load only after you accept cookies, and both are governed by their own providers' terms once they do. How that gate works, and what each one receives, is set out in the Privacy Policy and adjustable on the Cookie Settings page.

Accuracy

I work to keep the site accurate and current, including prices. Information can go out of date. Anything quoted to you directly for your dog is what applies.

Limitation of liability

The website is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, DW Dog Training is not liable for damages arising from use of the website or reliance on general information published here. This does not limit any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland.

These terms may be updated. The current version is always posted here with its date.
